Essence Hidden Stories LE nail polishes - my picks

Yesterday I got lucky and saw this LE in the stores. I took two nail polishes

01 Enter Wonderland and 03 Mauvellous Fairy

01 Enter Wonderland:

This polish is a complete PITA!! The first time I tried to put it on...well, it didn't work so well. I wasn't really careful with the first coat(I normally am not, because I always use two coats, and correct any mistakes with the second coat) and what a big mistake that was. With this polish you can't correct mistakes with the next(and the next and the next) coat, all coats have to be perfect for it to look good. Otherwise this happens:

This is THREE coats, and you can still see my mistake from the first coat. So, I took it off and started again. This time more carefull.

It can be opaque in one coat, but you need to be reallyreally careful with application. It dries matte(as it says on the cap), and like the colour a lot. It's a purple-ish gray, very soft and delicate.

03 Mauvellous Fairy

Well, this one was a dissapointment too. Amazing colour, but it is extremelly sheer =/ I love the colour, but three coats for it to be somewhat opaque. Yeah, not woth it. I will try and layer it over some other polish - any suggestions?

I really wanted to get the pink polish too, but I couldn't find it =/
What about you? Did you get anything from this TE? Am I missing something great?

ABC Challenge: D - Catrice Dirty Berry

Can you believe this was an untried for me until today? I cannot either. I bought when it was still part of Catrice, so you know I've had it for a long time. I've drooled over every picture I saw, but there just never was a right opportunity to wear it. This changed today.

Catrice Dirty Berry is one of their most sought after polishes, the beautiful grey-lilac holographic polish. And what a beauty it is!

I have two coats on the picture, but I think I should do three, because IRL I can still see my nail line. It dries fast. I've had some problems with application, it was a bit runny, nothing too scary.

This beauty still has the old Catrice brush, the one that was the most standard and the easiest to work with(if you ask me).
What do you think about this polish? Do you have it? Do you wish you had it?

ABC Challenge: C - Catrice Golden Plum-e

For today's letter C, I choose Catrice nail polish from Feathered Fall limited edition in the shade C01 Golden Plum-e.

I fell in love with this polish when I first saw it. And I was lucky enough to get it on clearance, for cheaper. Lucky me!

This one is opaque in two coats, application is easy and it dries really fast! Even tho lately Catrice nail polishes have crapy brushes, this one was normal.

The colour... Oh, the colour! A-MA-ZING!!! Beautiful metallic bronzen/plum/olive green multichrome. Pure love! I can't stop lookiing at my nails!

And an underwater picture:

Did you get anything from this LE? I also bought and eyeshadow I have to show you some time soon ;)

Essence Dare to wear lipstick

Lately my biggest passion are lipstick, and one of the latest buys was Essence longlasting lipstick in shade 03 Dare to wear.

I have to admit, red lipsticks are the ones I wear the most, and I have a bunch of them.

To be honest, this is my first Essence longlasting lipstick. I have a bunch of their lipsticks from limited editions, but I never bought one from the standard rack. Why? I have no idea, maybe because I never payed attention to them. There are some lovely colours, and this one surely won't be my last.

This one is an amazing red. It's what I'd call an everyday-day. A red lipstick you can wear troughout the day. It's a cool toned darker red, that's somewhat glossy. It stays on your lips, as long as you don't do anything else with them - eat, drink, kiss,... =) I love it, and it has already become my to-go lipstick!
Here's what happens if you do decide to drink with it:

Review: Balea Happy day Glücksmomente Maske

I bought this mask a couple of days ago. I always stop at DM to see if they have any new limited edition items from Balea, because 9/10 times I'll love them. So when I saw this mask, I knew I need to take it.
This is what it says on the package(it's my translation, since on the package it's written in Slovene):
"Intensive care with grapefruit scent. For normal skin
Mask with an eldeflower extract nourishes your skin, quality oils, such as almond oil and maize germ oil, and shea butter, protect your skin from dehydrating. Panthenol sooths and moisturizes your skin and vitamin E protects it against aging."

How to use this mask:
Spread the mask evenly on your face, leaving out the area around your eyes and lips. After 10-15min wipe what's left with a cosmetictissue. Don't rinse. Use 1-2x per weak.

A standard Balea packaging. The mask is separated in two, and it is supposed to be for two uses. Each pocket contains 8ml of product.

Do ingredients confirm what the description says?
GLYCERIN is very useful. It has an ability to attract water, helping the surface layers of skin increase the amount of it. It is also a subtsance found naturally in skin. It is one of the substances in sin that prevents dryness.
DECYL OLEATE acts as a lubricant on the skin surface, giving it a soft and smooth filling. It also forms a thin, non-greasy film on your skin.
DICAPRYL CARBONATE is a skin conditioner that works by providing a protective film and enhancing the skin's lipid layer
GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE helps skin retain moisture.
GLYCERYL STEARATE acts as a lubricant. It forms a barrier on the skins surface, preventing the loos of water and gives it a soft and smooth look.
BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER shea butter is a skin conditioning and thickness increasing agent. It is also very similar to the in structure and function to the lipid layer.
CETEARYL ALCOHOL is not an alcohol that'd dry your skin! In fact, it is well known to condition and soften your skin.
PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL sweet almond oil is a good moisturizer.
ZEA MAYS GERM OIL maize germ oil is a basic oil for all skin tipes.
TOCOPHERYL ACETATE is a form of vitamin E, which is an antioxidant and skin conditioner.
PHENOXYETHANOL is the first ingredient, that I don't like. Even tho it is widely used as a preservative, it is said that it can be harmful, if used too much.
PANTHENOL helps retain moisture in your skin.
CARBOMER is used to help distribute the mask.(so, nothing to do with your skin ;) )
ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN acts as a surfactant and preservant enhancer
GLYCERYL OLEATE acts as an emuslifier.

So, basicaly, yes, the mask should do what it says. It is moisturizing, it also has some vitamins(E, provitamin B5, C). The only downside is there are some powerful scents(aromathic oils and stuff derived from aromapthic oils) that can cause alergic reaction if you have really sensitive skin or if it comes in contact with the sun.

My experience:

The mask itself is white and easy to spread. It's not really visible when you apply it, so you won't be scaring anyone when wearing it. It smells flowerish and parfume-y. You can see on the picture how (in)visible it is ;)

I have to say this mask did what I wanted it to do. It smelled nice. It was easy to apply. It didn't irritate my skin, it didn't cause redness or burning. It actually made my skin feel better, and more hydrated. First, I washed my face and then I applied the mask. After I didn't need to apply my cream, the mask itself was enough for me. Which means a lot, because usually my skin feels dry after I wash it, and I really need to put some cream on it. I also took same before/after pictures, even tho I think there isn't much of a difference =) It smoothed my skin a bit.
Final verdict:
I would recommend this to you, IF you don't have supersensitive skin. If you have dry to normal skin, this is what you should try, if you have really dry skin, I don't think it will be enough for you. If you have oily skin, you can try it, but you have to clean your skin properly prior using this mask.

Have you tried any of Balea masks? Do you recommend any masks to me?

ABC Challenge: B - Beauty women Hidden Treasure

For B I decided to try a polishes from a brand called Beauty women - a brand that a store called "Tedi" carries(similar to a dollar store). I already have a few of their polishes, and I love each and everyone of them. I alway like to check what new they have. AND they have names!

Hidden treasure is exactly what it name tells - a hidden treasure. A beautiful black with gold glitters, fully opaque in only one coat. There are different sizes of glitters, and the final effect is gorgeous!

The only problem I've had with this polish is the brush. It might be I got a bad one, because my other polishes have had normal brushes. This one is wonky and uneven =/

Have you ever heard of this brand? Do you like the polish?

ABC Challenge: A - Astor Fash'n Studio nail polishes

Today is the first day of a new challenge, called ABC challenge. The idea is to try your unused polishes, that start with a letter for the day. And because the alphabet starts with an "A", so we are also starting with an "A" ;)
I choose Astor Fash'n Studio nail polishes for today.

Astor Fash'n Studio is a brand I came across in Austria a long time ago. I didn't know much about them, but I took a few polishes anyway. Here they are:
107, 105, 104, 70, 153, 79

I've never tried any of them, except 107(which is a scented polish and smells amazing!), so this is what I'm trying for the letter "A".
They all have the same brush, standard, maybe a bit thin, easy to work with.

This is my favourited of the bunch. It is somewhat unique colour(I don't think I have any really closeto this), very pale yellow creme. AND it smells divine! I can't really describe the scent, it smells like a parfume. It needs two coats to be fully opaque. It really scared me when I did my first coat, because it was awfully patchy and uneven, but the second coats does the magic.

This one is standard eggyolk yellow creme. I'm sure I have a few similar colours in my collection. It needed two coats and I've had a few problems with brush strokes at first, but when it dried, the strokes evened out.

Red based orange creme. Similar to the previous two in application and formula.

My second favourite in the bunch. This one is more of a crelly, then a creme. Two coats again, first a bit patchy and uneved, sencond one amazing and the way it should be. It's an amazing blue colour, I love it!

It's a brighter blue creme. This one was the easiest to apply, opaque in only one coat. It reminds me of
Essence Bonnie(Nail art twins).

This one is a darkish shade of grass green creme. I kind of like it, I'd say it's beer-bottle-green. It also needed two coats.

This is it. I love 107 and 70, maybe also 79, but the others...not so much. Well, they are nice, but not really unique or stunning. Do you have any Aston Fash'n Studio nail polishes?(Or any other makeup?) Do you have any to recommend?
